One of the very important functions of kindergarten is to further the socialization of your child which you, the child’s first and most caring teacher, have already begun. In kindergarten, your child will continue to learn how to get along with others, how to obey the rules of the group, how to take turns, how to share, how to use and take care of materials and how to be a good “housekeeper”.
In addition, kindergarten stresses the ability to follow directions, as well as the importance of being able to start an activity or task and bring it to completion. Being a good listener is a crucial learning skill not only for kindergarten learning but also for all learning.
