The children come to the Computer Center two at a time for forty-minute lessons with our Computer Teacher. Lessons focus on developing basic computer skills and using age-appropriate software to reinforce reading and arithmetic skills.
Creativity and problem solving are encouraged in a program that includes creative art and storybook writing. Each child authors and illustrates his or her own little book and even types his or her own words as is appropriate to the child’s interest and readiness. In addition, the Computer Teacher instructs the class as a whole, presenting computer-related topics and using relevant software to supplement or support classroom themes.

The three year olds will begin a computer program in the spring time. This program will involve semi-private lessons and the rotation of a computer in all of their classrooms.
